Board member Ceciel DelaRue

Ceciel has been working in Christchurch since 2009, initially with a heritage and urban design focus and now as Urban Design Team Leader with Christchurch City Council. She was heavily involved in the emergency response following the Canterbury earthquakes and was an integral member of the team that hosted Share an Idea and developed the Draft Central City Plan. She was then seconded to CERA for the 100 day blueprint and Christchurch Central Recovery Plan process.

Previous roles include the Greater London Authority with responsibility for overseeing the development, activation and management of two high profile public spaces – Trafalgar Square and Parliament Square Garden.

Ceciel is now involved a range of urban design and planning work across the city and is the member of the Urban Design Forum national committee.
